The Sheep (Journal Entry 3.1.05)
The sheep are Jesus sheep. John 10:14, 16; I am the good shepherd, and I know my own and my own know me ... I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear my voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd. One must first grasp that the sheep who are sheep, are God's and not any man's. John 10:27-30; My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and My Father are One. When we understand who goes after lost sheep (Luke 15), who sheep they actually are, then we can look at Matthew 28:18ff and learn more clearly what He meant. Our "job" is not to manufacture disciples. It is to make them through our own lives first being disciples ourselves. In a concept where our very lives teach and words are brought to a minimum. Even us "thinking" about "making disciples" comes to a minimum because it is so naturally happening that we are not concious of it. John 6:44-45; Do not grumble among yourselves. No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws Him; and I will raise Him up in the last day. It is written int he prophets, 'AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD' Everyone who has heard and learned of the Father, comes to Me.
